"...Glorify your name..."

On Sunday 22 March 2026, District Apostle Peter Lambert conducted a divine service for the district of Malmesbury in the Swartland Community Hall.

The District Apostle was accompanied by Apostles Fredricks Lekay, Neville Williams, Gavin van der Hoven, Bradley Bourne and Robert Worship, along with Bishops Gerhard Kotze and Grant James. The District Rectors of the West Coast Apostle Area were also invited to this festive divine service.

The orchestra and choir prepared the way for a blessed encounter at the altar, creating a peaceful atmosphere inside the hall.

The Bible text that served as a basis for the sermon was taken from John 12:27-28: “Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came from heaven, saying, 'I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.'”

Apostles Williams and Bourne were called to serve along.

Before the conclusion of the divine service, Bishop Gerhard Kotze was placed into retirement after 40 years of serving as a minister. The District Apostle expressed his sincere gratitude to the Bishop for his humble service and exemplary leadership, through which he guided the children of God with deep spiritual insight and wisdom. The District Apostle also extended his appreciation to the Bishop’s wife, Maggie, and his family for their support throughout the years of his ministry.

The choir concluded this divine celebration with a powerful rendition of Almighty God, whereafter the District Apostle, together with the Apostles, availed themselves to greet the congregation.
