Apostle Area Communication Coordinators Conference in Cape Town

In Cape Town, South Africa, the communication coordinators of the District Apostle area met for their biannual conference from 13 to 15 March 2026.

The communications manager of the New Apostolic Church Southern Africa, Apostle Bradley Bourne, opened the proceedings with a prayer and welcomed all to the conference. The delegates meet annually, alternating between a hybrid online meeting one year and an in-person conference the next. After two years apart, the excitement of being in fellowship with one another was palpable.

Various topics were discussed, including social media and how to consider responses to negative messaging, technical updates regarding the communications handbook, deepening the delegates’ knowledge of copyright and a broad overview. After a working lunch, group work ensued when collaborative thoughts were combined and presented regarding the responsibilities and tasks of a lead communications coordinator supporting the Apostles. This work will be finalised in the coming weeks.

The conference concluded with a short presentation which focused on some of the technical aspects for the upcoming global broadcast of the Pentecost divine service on 24 May 2026. Once understood, an even deeper sense of appreciation for the workings behind the scenes of both the local NACTV teams and their German counterparts was expressed by all.

The following day saw the delegates visiting the live broadcast from the Palmyra Church, after which the conference concluded.

The delegates return to their Apostle areas and will ensure that their learnings are shared with all the relevant stakeholders who support communications across the area. A blessed and enriching time was experienced by all.
