'Test the teaching!’ That was the core message from the divine service led by District Apostle Peter Lambert in Macassar on Sunday, 8 February 2026.
The District Apostle was accompanied by Apostles, Bradley Bourne, Robert Worship, Gavin van der Hoven, Neville Williams and Fredricks Lekay, along with Bishops Gerhard Kotze and Grant James. The District Rectors and Rectors from the Cape Coastal Apostle Area were also invited to this festive divine service.
The Bible text was taken from 1 Thessalonians 5:21 “Test all things; Hold fast what is good.’’
Apostles Lekay and Worship were called to serve along.
Before the closing of the divine service, Bishop Leon Ravell was called to the altar and placed into retirement after 42 years of serving as a minister.
The District Apostle reflected on the humble and loving nature of the Bishop. He thanked the Bishop’s wife, Judy, and his family for their wonderful support throughout the years of his serving as a minister.
After the divine service, the District Apostle, along with the Apostles and Bishops, greeted the congregation.
