Silvertown Auditorium played host to the Cape Town Choir (CTC), Cape Town Young People's Choir (CTYPC) and Cape Town Orchestra (CTO), for a moving Passion Week Concert on Sunday, 29 March 2026, at 5 p.m.
Apostle Robert Worship opened the concert with a prayer. He was accompanied by Apostles Bradley Bourne, Fredericks Lekay, Neville Williams and Gavin van der Hoven
The special programme of choral and orchestral music reflected on the message of Passion Week: a time of reflection, faith, and hope. The programme also captured the heart of the Holy Week through song. Those in attendance were left with a sense of awe, by the performances and could reflect on the ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus.
The concert also served as preparation for the Pentecost concert, which will take place in the Silvertown Auditorium on Saturday, 23 May 2026, and will be broadcast to a global audience. The occasion gave the choirs the opportunity to sing together for the final four items. As the CTYPC moved to the front of the stage for these items, they uniquely followed the choir conductor via two screens positioned at the back of the hall.
The performers received a standing ovation after the conclusion of the final musical item. Thereafter, Apostle Worship sincerely thanked all the performers for their preparation leading up to the concert. He also encouraged them to continue to serve Christ first, as they continue to practise for the upcoming Pentecost concert and divine service in May 2026. The Apostle concluded by wishing all a blessed Holy Week and thereafter closed the proceedings with a prayer.
