It was a beautiful and blessed Palm Sunday as Apostle Bradley Bourne conducted the divine service at Tafelsig Congregation on Sunday, 13 April 2025.
Invited to the divine service were members from the Eastridge district and Woodlands congregation.
The 300-member German Young People Orchestra also attended the divine service, visiting Tafelsig as part of a tour in Cape Town. The Young People leaders of Cape Town were also in attendance.
During the divine service, the beautiful music enhanced the spirit of this blessed day. The German YP orchestra delivered moving renditions of various hymns, including “Think about His love” and “Shall I meet you at the fountain?”
Serving alongside Apostle Bourne was Apostle Gerd Kisselbach from the East German District. Shepherd Thomas Laach translated the call-up sermon of Apostle Gerd Kisselbach.
The Bible text used as the basis for the divine service was Matthew 21:10–11 (NKJV), “And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, ‘Who is this?’ So the multitudes said, ‘This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.’” A Bible reading was done by Sister Leila Africa, from Matthew 21:1–11 (NKJV).
After the divine service, Apostle Bourne conveyed a heartfelt message to the special guests from afar. He said that although we are all different, we are also the same. We share many things, such as the same Spirit. He mentioned that among the 300 members of the German YP orchestra, there are 74 ministers. He wished them well in their various activities and a safe journey home.
Following the divine service, the visitors and orchestra took photos at the altar with the Apostles and guests. Afterwards, they enjoyed a tour of the congregation, which was adorned with photos showcasing the church building’s construction, past services, and special events.
