On Sunday, 29 March 2026, the New Apostolic Church Gauteng Concert Choir and Orchestra presented a soul-stirring Passion Week Concert at the Olympus Auditorium.
The event formed part of the spiritual preparation for Easter, drawing the audience into a meaningful reflection on the sacrifice and love of Jesus Christ.
District Apostle Peter Lambert was accompanied by District Apostle Helper Mandla Mkhwanazi, along with Apostles Jerry Joubert, Jan Mabaso and Abrey Page.
The programme featured a rich selection of sacred works, including God so loved the world, Domine fili unigenite, Give me Jesus, and the renowned Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah. Each music item contributed to a deeply reverent and uplifting atmosphere.
The concert was opened and closed by the District Apostle, who also addressed the audience. Reflecting on the significance of the moment, he also encouraged the performers and the audience to build on their efforts in service to God: “Every accomplishment, use it as a stepping stone to the next thing for the Lord.”
The evening left a lasting impression on all who attended, highlighting not only musical excellence but also the unity, faith, and deeper purpose of Passion Week.
