On Saturday and Sunday 25-26 May 2024, the Cape Boland AP Area (CBAA) Congregational Communications Coordinators (CCC) gathered in Bloomsbury and Robertson West Congregations for a 3hour training session on the new Hand Book for Congregational Communications Coordinators.
The training was facilitated by the Apostle Area Coordinator Dc. Johan van Schalkwyk (Assisted by Sis. Laura Barnes and Sis. Angela Beukes)
As a surprise, the Apostle Gavin Van Der Hoven joined the team virtually from Pretoria, and opened the Saturday session with prayer. The Apostle shared a few spiritual thoughts and had a special guest joined the meeting, The Apostle Bradley Bourne (Head of Communications). Apostle Bourne shared some administrative thoughts around the Handbook, and how it will assist the CCC's and rectors in the local congregations.
The sessions kicked off with a Icebreaker "𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞". The Objective of the icebreaker was to learn the importance of "𝑳𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈" and "𝑬𝒙𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈". How we receive information and how we post information on social media.
The session continued, and the following topics were covered:
* 𝐎𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐂𝐂𝐂
* 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐂𝐂
* 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞
* 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭
* 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐂𝐂𝐂
* 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐐&𝐀
Both days was concluded with fellowship and lunch were served to the attendees. The ambiance was joyful, and everyone felt inspired and motivated after the workshop to go back to their respective congregations and apply what was learned.
