On Wednesday 1 May 2024, the young people and ministers of Lentegeur Congregation took up the challenge of hiking the arduous Muizenberg Peak.
Starting at Pecks Valley, the ascent up Muizenberg Peak is a steady climb, characterised by winding trails and rocky outcrops. With each step, hikers gain altitude, ascending through verdant fynbos and rugged terrain. The trail meanders through patches of indigenous vegetation.
As hikers crest the final ridge, they are greeted by a panorama that stretches as far as the eye can see.
From the summit, hikers carry memories of a journey that has left an indelible mark on their souls. Muizenberg Peak, with its rugged beauty and exhilarating trails.
The young people descended to St. James Beach and finished the trail after 12km, at Surfer's Corner.
