Southern Africa
Apostle Jerry Joubert undertook a visit to the islands of Madagascar during the week of 8-15 April 2024.
An enchanting island off the south-eastern coast of Africa, it is a centre of faith and cultural richness. Madagascar’s constitution guarantees freedom of religion, which ensures a diverse life intertwined with spirituality and faith, and the attitude of its citizens is not defined by the absence of material wealth.
In September 2023, during a visit with District Apostle John Kriel, Apostle Joubert was tasked with assisting and providing leadership in training and resource assistance in the area.
Much groundwork has been undertaken since September 2023 to date, and some of that is listed below.
Identifying all congregations in the country and shaping and restructuring working areas.
-The appointment of District Rectors to the defined areas.
-Providing training to ministers.
During this visit, the Apostle Joubert was accompanied by the Apostle Felix for three services in his working area and four divine services in the Apostle John Kassa’s area. 57 District Rectors were appointed during the visit of the Apostle Joubert, as well as training for ministers, which included ministerial tasks and purposes of Rectors and District Rectors, as well as administerial requirements and updating of the Oasis system. The training was provided by the Apostle Joubert and Sr Christina and Sr Olivia, who are on the administration staff.
During the visit, the following services were conducted in the working area of the Apostle Felix:
Wednesday 10, 2024, Vavetenina, in an open field with approximately 500 believers
Thursday, April 11, Fenerive Est, in a community hall with approximately 350 believers
On Saturday, April 2024, Moramanga, in the church building, approximately 250 believers attended; thereafter the team journeyed back to the starting point of Antananarivo and the working area of the Apostle Jean Kassa and Bishop Jacques Andriatomposon.
Sunday 14 April 2024 in the Antananarivo church building, which also comprises the administration offices. Thereafter, the Apostle undertook his travel journey back to South Africa.
