On a beautiful Sunday morning, March 17, the vibrant young members of the South Western District of the KZN Mpumalanga Apostle area gathered at the picturesque Florida Lake for an event that was not just a meeting but a celebration of faith, fellowship, and fun.
The day began with an open-air service for Young People. The service was led by Priest Keagan Philander, with the assistance of Priest Michael Williams and Priest Terrence Scholtz.
The focal point of the divine service was taken from the Bible text Luke 15:18.
The day was not solely about introspection and spiritual nourishment. Following the divine service, the energy and excitement levels surged as the young people transitioned into dragon boat practice runs for the upcoming competition.
Then it was time for a potjiekos competition. These activities, filled with laughter and competitive spirit, exemplified the unity and camaraderie that define our youth community.
In tandem with the day's festivities, a crucial training session for Young People Leaders in the SWD was conducted by Priest Michael Williams, the District YP Leader. The session focused on the YPiC Building Blocks, essential elements that ensure the growth and development of our young leaders. This training highlighted the importance of nurturing leadership and responsibility among our youth, preparing them to be the torchbearers of tomorrow.
The Apostle and the district leaders extended their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this day possible.
