On Sunday 10 March 2024, the congregation of Klapmuts experienced the presence of Apostle Bradley Bourne, who was accompanied by Bishop Leon Ravell, Bishop Grant James, as well as the District Evangelist Wayne Cicilie and all the Rectors of Stellenbosch District. Also invited were the congregations of Dwarsrivier Vallei, Rustenburg, Elsenburg, Beverley Hills and Simondium.
During the divine service, 19 souls received the gift of the Holy Spirit through the act of Holy Sealing. Furthermore, 5 ministers were placed into retirement who had combined service in the Lord’s work for 150 years. They are:
Community Evangelist Patrick Seas (Elsenburg), Priest Andre De Jager (Elsenburg), Priest Barend Februarie (Rustenburg), Priest Joseph Fillies (Dwarsrivier -Vallei) Priest Stefanus Pitus (Klapmuts)
During the divine service, new Rectors were also appointed: Priest Glenwill Arendse for the Kylemore congregation and Priest Smartryk Clarke for the Simondium congregation.
As of 10 March, Meerlust and Kylemore congregations are open as congregations. Simondium closes as a congregation and will be incorporated as a service point for Meerlust.
Elsenburg is closed as a congregation and will be incorporated into Beverley Hills as a service point.
Rustenburg is closed and will be incorporated into Idasvalley as a service point.
In addition to the festivities, the Apostle also assigned the Young People Coordinator for the Cape Coastal Apostle area in the person of Deacon Micayle Fennel.
