On Friday 23 February 2024, the district music leaders, music administrators and trainers throughout the area of Apostle Nene travelled to Mgwalana, 40 km from Port Alfred, for their annual music leaders' conference.
Saturday, 24 February 2024, the Apostle area music leader, Deacon Roger Groep, commenced the workshop with a prayer and a brief introduction and outline of the day.
Priest Zolile Faniso presented the spiritual portion, while Priest Garth Van Heerden spoke on the topic of conflict management and the difference between constructive and deconstructive conflict.
As the administrator, Sister Cecelia Abrahams-Botha, discussed the importance of information recording for control and reporting purposes.
Regional music leaders, Deacon Nkosinathi Mabombo and Priest Zolile Faniso, respectively, presented their music development plans for the remainder of 2024.
Deacon Groep informed the group of future projects for 2024/2025, thereafter concluding the workshop.
On Sunday, 25 February 2024, Priest Garth Van Heerden conducted the divine service at Mgwalana.
The musicians gathered and formed a small orchestra as preparation for the divine service.
The Deacon Mabombo was called to serve along.
The musicians concluded the divine service with a powerful rendition of "Sing unto God", which brought a productive and blessed weekend to an end.
