New Apostolic Church
Southern Africa
This past weekend marked a momentous occasion for the Young People of the KZN Mpumalanga District of the New Apostolic Church, as they joyously welcomed the newly confirmed members into their fold. In a heartfelt display of camaraderie and spiritual fellowship, the young people from Durban Central and North Districts combined forces with their counterparts from Durban South District. Together, they orchestrated a memorable welcome at the scenic Paradise Valley in Durban, setting the stage for an event filled with laughter, bonding, and spiritual growth.
The day was beautifully outlined with activities designed to foster unity and friendship among the young people. A hike through the lush landscapes of Paradise Valley offered a perfect backdrop for the participants to engage in meaningful conversations, share experiences, and enjoy the beauty of nature together. This was not just a physical journey but a symbolic one too, signifying the start of a new chapter in their spiritual journey.
As laughter and chatter filled the air, various games played a crucial role in breaking the ice among the youth, many of whom were meeting for the first time. These activities were more than just games; they were bridges connecting hearts and minds, facilitating a deeper understanding and appreciation for one another. The spirit of unity was palpable, as bonds of friendship were strengthened and new ones formed.
Adding to the warmth of fellowship, the event also included a communal meal, where the young people gathered to share food and stories, further cementing the bonds of their newly knit community. It was a beautiful manifestation of the Church's ethos of fellowship and communal support, embodying the essence of togetherness and shared faith.
The pinnacle of the weekend's festivities was the combined youth service held at Wentworth Congregation by District Rector Tony Lorenzo. This service was not only a spiritual gathering but also a celebration of new beginnings and the welcoming of new members into the young people's fold. District Rector Lorenzo's message resonated deeply with the attendees, imbuing them with a sense of purpose and belonging within the Church's community.
