On Sunday 23 July 2023, Apostle Gavin Van Der Hoven served the congregation of Arcadia in the Gqeberha-Karoo Apostle area. Also invited to this festive divine service were the congregations of Balfour Heights and Missionvale, as well as all Sunday School coordinators and teachers of the Arcadia District. Accompanying the Apostle was Bishop F Flores, who was also called to serve along.
The Bible word used for the divine service was taken from 2 Corinthians 3:6.
The Apostle simplified the message for the children: Jesus loves you!
After the divine service, the Apostle Area Sunday School coordinators gathered with all Arcadia District teachers and coordinators for a lesson and demonstration on how to effectively prepare and present a Sunday School lesson in line with the new curriculum for Sunday School. Sister Stephnie Klaasen facilitated this demo-lesson. Proceedings concluded with fellowship among all present, coupled with informal discussions and the exchanging of ideas. All left truly inspired to take our Sunday School to the next level.
