District Apostle Peter Lambert undertook his first visit as District Apostle to Mozambique from 11-14 July 2024.
On Friday 12 July 2024, the District Apostle visited Milange Congregation on the western border of Mozambique.
He was accompanied by Apostles Dzimba, Zacqueio and Worship. The Bible text for the divine service was 1 Samuel 15:22. Apostle Worship was called upon to serve. The singing of the choir contributed to the festive atmosphere of the divine service. Some members travelled as far as 160 kilometres to be part of the festivities.
During his visit to Mozambique, the District Apostle conducted two meetings for Rectors and District Rectors in Milange and Mocuba. The topics covered included spiritual portions with a focus on serving and leading congregations in pastoral and administrative matters. In Mocuba, the District Apostle was able to issue the newly acquired Portuguese Bibles to be used in divine services. This gift was excitedly received by the Rectors and District Rectors.
On Sunday 14 July 2024, the District Apostle served a combined congregation in central Mocuba. The 1800 attendees witnessed the early retirement of Bishop Masinhe due to ill health. Apostle Worship was called upon to serve.
