Religion, tradition and faith

On 16 June 2020, the young people of the Gauteng Limpopo area got together for a virtual

Young People’s session. Priest D Wyngaardt, the Young People Leader for the area, arranged the session on the Zoom meeting platform, where Apostle A Page could interact with the Young People. The Apostle was joined by theologian, Dr Marcus Cromhout who gave a presentation on the historical information of religion and shared some reflective information with the young people about their faith. Some of the ministers of the area also joined in on the discussion. The Young People engaged with some deep thoughtful questions, which in turn caused the team to think and respond by saying that they will return with more answers. Some of the questions were around the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer or questioning) community and how they fit into societal and religious roles. All in all, it was a very interesting session and the young people enjoyed the online meeting.
