On Sunday 12 June 2022, Community Evangelist M Mullins from the administration office’s IT department presented a dashboard training session for the Rectors and District Rectors of Hex River, Robertson and Worcester districts at Johnson Park congregation. He was assisted by BI (i.r) C van Wyk and Deacon M Stewart.
Championed by Apostle R Worship, the team is responsible for rolling out the new dashboard across the entire Cape Winelands Apostle area.
The meeting commenced after an early morning divine service conducted by Bishop Jerome Cook.
Community Evangelist Mullins then gave a brief technical background on MIS as well as highlighting the constraints of navigating and using MIS. He then introduced the technology platform utilized for the new interactive dashboard which will run parallel with MIS.
Bishop Van Wyk took the participants through the why's and how's of the new platform. Members’ data is important as it empower its users to:
I. Make informed decisions.
II. Identify problems and guide to opportunities to rectify.
III. Data will back up your arguments.
IV. Will tell you what you are doing well.
The Bishop stressed that it is prudent in ensuring the completeness, relevance, accuracy, timeliness, and accessibility of data. The new dashboard, together with MIS, gives detailed information and helps its users to better manage the data and ultimately improve care in the congregations.
At the conclusion of the session, Bishop Cook thanked the team for the important work they are doing and closed proceedings with a prayer.
