On Sunday 22 May 2022, the District Apostle Helper M Mkhwanazi conducted a divine service at New Village congregation in Nelsville District. He was accompanied by District Elder Aston Naude.

The sermon was based on Luke 24:49, “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”

Just as the Holy Spirit gave courage to the Apostles of the first Church and the members to proclaim the gospel, He is still active today. If we give Him room the Gift can unfold itself in us.

It was only through the help of the Holy Spirt that the Apostles of Jesus Christ could carry out their commission.

Six souls received the gift of the Holy Spirit, and a Deacon was ordained into the Priest Ministry.
