On Saturday 27 January 2024, District Apostle Peter Lambert met with the Rectors of 3 Apostle Areas: Eastern Cape, Gqeberha-Karoo and Southern Cape (5 districts) for a conference held in Palmridge, Gqeberha.
This was the first of several Rectors’ conferences and divine services scheduled by the District Apostle to take place across the Southern Africa District.
The District Apostle was accompanied by Apostles J Cronje, G Mintoor, T Nene and R Worship, as well as Bishop F Flores. Rectors travelled up to 700km to Gqeberha to attend the conference. Registration and fellowship commenced at 10:00, with the conference starting at 11:00.
At the commencement of the conference, the District Apostle shared a spiritual portion from John 17:20–23, "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.”
Apostle Cronje concluded proceedings with a prayer, after which all joined in a short choir practice in preparation for the divine service on Sunday, 28 January 2024.
On Sunday morning at 08:00, the District Apostle conducted a divine service for Rectors in Palmridge Congregation.
The Bible text for the divine service was taken from 1 Peter 4:12-13, “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.”
Apostles Nene, Cronje and Worship were called upon to serve.
The divine service was concluded with a rendition of “Glory to God”.
After the divine service, the District Apostle wished all well for the future and took photos with the Rectors.
