On Sunday 19 November 2023, the congregations of Karatara, Ruigtevlei and Sedgefield gathered in Sedgefield for the visit of Apostle J Cronje.
It was the second divine service that the Apostle conducted for the day. He was accompanied by District Elder Carl Dreyer and the Rectors of Knysna District.
The Bible word for the divine service was taken from Matthew 13:31-32.
After the celebration of Holy Communion, the Apostle ordained 1 Priest for Sedgefield congregation and 1 Deacon for Karatara congregation.
Thereafter, the Apostle relieved Shepherd Calvin Jafta as the rector of Ruigtevlei and appointed Priest Donovan Rowland as the new rector for the congregation.
