A unique congregation comprising members of several congregations within Plumstead District gathered in Claremont on Sunday, 12 November for a blessed encounter with Apostle Robert Worship.
The Bible word that formed the basis of the service was taken from Luke 11, a selected portion of verse 2, “Thy will be done”.
The Apostle explained that the will of God has three important components: God loves us, God wants to have fellowship with us, and God wants to share His kingdom with us. God has given us our own free will, but He desires that we align our will with His.
Priest David Smith, the District Rector of Athlone, was called to serve alongside the Apostle.
During the divine service, six souls received the gift of Holy Sealing through the act of Holy Sealing.
Before the conclusion of the service, the Apostle placed Shepherd Rodney Fredericks (Crawford), who had been active in the ministry for 45 years, and Priest Kevin Scott (Claremont), who had been a minister for 40 years, into retirement. Crawford congregation also received new gifts with the ordination of a Deacon and the appointment of Priest Kirstin van der Hoven as Rector.
