District Apostle J Kriel conducted a festive divine service in Dunrobin Congregation on Sunday, 12 November 2023.
Members from Ravensmead were also invited to attend the divine service. The District Apostle was accompanied by the Apostle N Williams and Bishop G James.
The Bible word used as a basis for the divine service was taken from Galatians 5:6. The District Apostle Kriel emphasised the importance of being filled with love for your neighbour. He cautioned the congregants to care for one another. The Lord Jesus encouraged the disciples and said: love one another as I have loved you. This is the standard by which we should live to love as He loves us.
Towards the conclusion of the divine service, the District Apostle dispensed the gift of the Holy Spirit to souls through the act of Holy Sealing.
Thereafter, the District Apostle effected some Rector changes when he retired District Elder Mervyn Duister, the current Rector of Ravensmead. This action paved the way for Community Evangelist Hubert Royne to be appointed as the Rector of Ravensmead and Shepherd Hilton Southgate appointed as the new Rector of Silver Sands Congregation. Priests Marco Sieta and Carl Fisher were appointed as Rectors of Balvenie and Connaught congregations respectively.
The divine service was concluded by the majestic sounds of the choir and orchestra when they rendered the well-known hymn, “Joyfully singing”.
After the divine service, the District Apostle interacted with the members and spent moments of fellowship with them.
