New Apostolic Church
Southern Africa
A beautiful and soul-uplifting choral concert took place at Wentworth Congregation on Saturday evening, 04 November 2023.
All the Apostles of Southern Africa were in attendance as they were in Durban for an Apostles’ conference.
The concert was opened in prayer by District Apostle J Kriel. Thereafter, the adult choir, orchestra, jazz band and children’s choir prepared the way for the divine service for the departed through their singing and musical performances.
On Sunday 5 November 2023, District Apostle J Kriel, who was accompanied by all the Apostles of Southern Africa, held the divine service for the departed in Durban. The divine service was held at the Durban Playhouse where more than 1500 members from across KwaZulu-Natal congregated for a memorable experience.
The District Apostle based the sermon on a Bible word from Revelation 1:17, 18 (excerpt): “I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”
During the divine service, Apostle Dzimba of Mozambique, Apostle Liwakala of Namibia and Apostle Mintoor of the Eastern Cape were called upon to serve.
The joyful hymns rendered by the choir, orchestra, and Sunday School choir, added to the beautiful atmosphere that filled the Durban Playhouse.
