Apostle Gavin van der Hoven conducted a divine service in Montagu congregation on 25 October 2023.
The Apostle was accompanied by Bishop J Cook.
The Apostle used a Bible word from 1 Peter 5: 10 as basis for the sermon: “But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen and settle you.”
During the divine service, 5 souls received the gift of the Holy Spirit through the act of Holy Sealing. Adding to the festivities was the retirement of Deacon Hans Verhoog of the congregation in Koo as well as the Silver wedding anniversary of the Rector and his wife, Priest C Willemse and sister E Willemse.
After this festive and joyous divine service, the Apostle took time to greet the members and also took photos with them.
