The Confirmands from Fernwood Park District had their Confirmation camp over the weekend of 20-22 October 2023 at Sumcay Camping Centre Perseverance.
A total of 51 confirmands and 12 teachers arrived on Friday afternoon. On arrival, they were divided into four groups. The four groups each had to work out a theme song and present the song to all. The programme continued with a people bingo and concluded with a music trivia.
On Saturday 21 October, they had spiritual preparation for Confirmation 2023. The focus of the weekend was strengthening the 5 pillars of Confirmation.
During the afternoon, a motivational speaker addressed and conducted some team-building activities with the confirmands. This was heartfelt and deeply moving.
The weekend ended with a divine service at Sumcay Camping Centre.
All the excitement now leads to their confirmation day, where they will commit themselves to God.
