The confirmands from Uitenhage district had their Confirmation camp from 20-22 October 2023 at African Imprint in Kirkwood.
During the weekend, they had a choir practice to prepare for the divine service on Sunday, which was held by Priest Dawson. They participated in various ice-breakers to encourage communication and create a relaxed environment for learning and sharing ideas. Confirmation instruction lessons based on the 5 pillars of confirmation were incorporated with learner involvement. Participating in outdoor activities like obstacle courses, pioneering and ‘boeresport’, they could socialise and get to know each other, create team spirit, have fun and bond as peers.
All the excitement now leads to their Confirmation day, when they will vow to renounce Satan and commit themselves to God.
