On Sunday 22 October 2023, Apostle Gavin van der Hoven visited the congregation of New Orleans in the Paarl District.

He was accompanied by the Bishops, District Rectors and Rectors of the Apostle area.

The matric class of 2023 and the tertiary students of the Apostle area were also invited to attend the divine service.

The young people of Athlone District also attended the divine service.

The Apostle used the Bible word Philippians 4:13 as basis for the divine service, "I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me."

The Apostle explained that to receive God’s help, we need to embed ourselves in the strength of Jesus Christ.

Bishop B Adonis was called to serve along.

During the divine service, souls also received the gift of the Holy Spirit through the act of Holy Sealing.

Five Priests (Ceylon Fortuin, Ralph Francke, Marshall Goliath, Eshilin Wellman and Franklin Slaies) and seven Deacons (Steven Moffat, Tyreke De Kock, Ashley Isaacs, Warrick Botha,Gavin Cecils, Stephen Salies and Marco Paul) were ordained for the area of Paarl District.
