On Saturday 07 October 2023, Young People from the Cape Coastal Apostle Area gathered for their annual leadership development training session.

The hosted session in Gauteng allowed those unable to gather at the hybrid venue to connect with the group online. Starting off with an icebreaker, the leaders took time to get to know one another and discussed what they love about working with the young people.

This training session centred around the importance of succession planning and how best leaders can implement it. They highlighted that our young people, who will be the future congregation, need to be correctly mentored and guided to perform their role as leaders in the church.

While the aim of succession planning is to prepare for the future, the leaders were reminded that the future is first the return of the Lord, and if the Lord does not come back before then, with the help of God and their ministers, they prepare the young people and prospective leaders for the future.

The afternoon ended on a high as the young people leaders were filled with much joy and excitement to work towards the future and look forward to a successful 2024.
