On Sunday 08 October 2023, District Elder Carl Dreyer visited the congregation of Harkerville.

The Rectors of Plettenberg Bay and a group of young people were also invited to attend the divine service. 

After the celebration of Holy Communion, the District Elder asked Priest Josua Van Reenen to come to the altar and thanked him for his service to the congregation as Rector.

Thereafter, Priest Gerswill Manuel was appointed as the new Rector for Harkerville congregation, as he also serves as the Rector of Brackenhill congregation. 

The District Elder thanked the Priest for his ongoing willingness to make sacrifices in the work of the Lord.
