On Sunday 24 September 2023, District Evangelist Wayne Cicilie held a divine service in the Wemmershoek congregation. The Bible word shared is recorded in Matthew 5:13.
During the divine service, the Distric Evangelist bestowed the 50th wedding anniversary blessing on Priest Nico Juries (i.r.) and his wife, Cathleen.
The visit of the senior members of Hexriver District also added to the joy, as they were all in attendance. Their special trip was planned long in advance, and after the divine service, the group travelled to the Drakenstein Correctional Facility, where they were addressed by Community Evangelist Manfred Jacobs, an ex-employee of the Department of Correctional Services. With much interest, the seniors listened as the Evangelist took them on the journey. The day was ended with lunch being served.
