On Wednesday September 6, a blessed evening of reflection and renewal graced the Malibu Village congregation during the divine service. District Rector, Shepherd Cedric Hagglund and all of the Rectors from Kuils River District united to deliver a powerful message to the congregation.
During this spiritually enriching gathering, a Bible reading from Matthew 18:23–35 was performed, illuminating the profound parable of 'The Unforgiving Servant.' While the Bible reading was not the sole focal point of the evening, it played an integral role in guiding attendees in their understanding of faith and service to God. The key takeaway from this scripture was a reminder that serving God should be a constant in our lives, not merely something we do in times of need, as exemplified in Matthew 18:23–24.
The service also included a special moment of celebration as Brent Langenhoven was reinstated as a Deacon for the Malibu Village congregation, following the guidance provided by District Rector Hagglund in accordance with the new ministers' guide.
This evening was a true demonstration of faith in action, a moment of spiritual renewal, and a reaffirmation of our commitment to a God whose love and grace know no bounds.
