Over the weekend of 8-10 September 2023, Gelvandale District hosted the young people from Knysna. The young people couldn’t be part of the Dare2Care weekend in August due to taxi strike at the time.
Upon arrival on Friday evening, they were welcomed at Gelvandale congregation where they had supper, fellowship and an exciting music trivia. The energy immediately set the tone for the joyous weekend.
On Saturday, the young people walked to the Gelvandale Old Age Home where they handed over all the donations collected during the Dare2Care weekend. The elderly enjoyed the singing and fellowship. Thereafter, the young people went to Summerstrand where they had fellowship and various fun-filled activities.
On Sunday, Apostle Mintoor conducted the divine service in Gelvandale Congregation, and the visiting young people were invited to this service. The Bible word was taken from Acts 16:14-15.
Immediately after the service, the young people had something to eat before getting on their bus to make their way back home.
