On Saturday 19 August 2023, District Apostle J Kriel visited the congregation of Kolonyama in Lesotho.
He was accompanied by Apostle W Von Schaeffer. As part of the tradition, they were welcomed by the Rector and the local chiefs from the area.
The Bible word that served as a basis for the divine service was taken out of Proverbs 24:16, “For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, but the wicked shall fall by calamity.” Apostle Von Schaeffer and the District Evangelist Bambiso were called upon to serve. After a joyful culmination, there was great joy after the divine service, and the members had an opportunity to greet the District Apostle.
On Sunday 20 August 2023, the District Apostle visited the congregation of Maseru for the first time. The divine service was conducted in English and translated into Sesotho. The Bible word used as a basis for this divine service was taken out of James 1:18, “Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.”
After the divine service, the District Apostle greeted the congregation, and the members continued with praise and song as they greeted. Many photos were taken and shared among God’s children. The supporting musicians and choir members sacrificed much travel from Bloemfontein, Kimberley, Hopetown and Ladybrand over the two days, as well as during their preparations prior to the divine service.
After greeting the congregation, all the supporting musicians and servants gathered with the District Apostle and the Apostle for a short fellowship. The District Apostle expressed his sincere thanks for their labours of love, for the growth and development of God's work.
