On Sunday 13 August 2023, Apostle N Williams served Forest Village congregation with word and sacrament. Ever since it was announced that the Apostle would visit Forest Village congregation, there has been a buzz and excitement in anticipation for this day. 

With all preparations in place, the day finally arrived. As members arrived at church, they were greeted with beautiful orchestral, organ and choir music which added to the festive atmosphere in anticipation of the heavenly blessing.

The Bible word used for this divine service was taken out of 2 Corinthians 3:6.

The congregation's Rector, Derrick Adams, was called to serve along. The divine service also included other acts of blessing, namely:

· 23 souls received the gift of the Holy Spirit through the act of Holy Sealing. 

· The retirement of Priest Eugene Japtha after 34 years of ministerial service. 

· The ordination of Deacon Bradwin Goliath into the Priest ministry.

After the closing prayer, the choir, accompanied by the organ and orchestra, rendered “Lift up your heads” in a most majestic fashion. Towards the end of the anthem, the congregation joined in impeccably with the singing of “All hail the pow’r of Jesus name”. This was the cherry on top to conclude a most blessed and memorable Sunday morning in the house of God.
