On Sunday 13 August 2023, District Evangelist Wayne Cicilie conducted a divine service in Kylemore Community Hall for Dwarsrivier Vallei congregation. Dwarsrivier Vallei Congregation consists of three service points, namely Kylemore, Johannesdal and Meerlust. The Bible word used as basis for the divine service was 2 Chronicles 6:30–31.
After the celebration of Holy Communion, the following five ministers were placed into retirement:
1. Priest Renade McLean
2. Priest Petro Louw
3. Deacon Derrick Robus
4. Deacon Paul Onrust
5. Deacon William Atshipara
Collectively, these ministers served a total of 83 years in their respective ministries. The District Rector thanked them for their labours of love and care for God’s people over the years and wished them well in their retirement.
