The morning of Sunday 13 August 2023, was a special day for the district of Ladismith in the Karoo, with the visit of District Apostle J Kriel, as it was his last visit to the Southern Cape before his planned retirement.
The hall was filled with a buzz of excitement, as the congregations of Zoar, Amalienstein, Kroonfontein, Ladismith, Calitsdorp and Van Wyksdorp, as well as the Rectors and their wives of Beaufort West, Heidelberg, Oudsthoorn and Riversdale districts, awaited the visit of the District Apostle.
He was accompanied by Apostle J Cronje and all the District Rectors of the Southern Cape.
The Bible word for the divine service was taken from the book of Mark 7:37, ‘And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak.’"
The District Apostle encouraged the congregation to confide in God by putting our trust in Him.
Apostle Cronje and Priest Randall Bailey were also called to serve.
After the divine service, the District Apostle and the Apostle took time to greet the congregation before departing for home.
