New Apostolic Church
Southern Africa
On Saturday 22 July 2023, some of the youth of the Cape Peninsula Apostle Area embarked on an exciting beach walk, fostering camaraderie and joy among the young members of our church. This event turned out to be a memorable day filled with laughter and shared experiences.
The morning began with a burst of colours as each district of the Apostle Area was assigned specific colours for the day. As the young people gathered at Sunrise Circle Beach in Muizenberg, the vibrant hues of their attire created a picturesque scene, symbolizing the diversity and unity within our Young People Apostolic community.
The beach walk commenced, and with high spirits, the group embarked on a scenic journey from Sunrise Circle Beach to Strandfontein Beach and back. The refreshing sea breeze and the rhythmic sound of waves served as the perfect backdrop for meaningful conversations and new friendships to bloom.
One of the highlights of the day was the "attempt" to form the emblem of our New Apostolic Church on the sandy shores. Although the intricate design posed a challenge, the enthusiasm and teamwork displayed by the young people were commendable.
After the emblem formation, the young people gathered at Zandvlei, where lunch was prepared for everyone to enjoy.
The Rectors of the various congregations, and the district rector, David Smith, also participated in the events. Apostle Robert Worship also made an appearance later in the day.
The beach walk served as a reminder of the strength of unity and the significance of nurturing a sense of belonging within our New Apostolic community. By bringing together the young people from different districts and fostering a spirit of togetherness, we reaffirmed the value of supporting and uplifting one another. The event not only created beautiful memories but also created a sense of excitement for our Young People for the upcoming Dare2Care weekend.
