On Sunday 09 July 2023, Apostle F Lekay conducted a divine service in the Malmesbury Town Hall.

During the service, District Elder Mervyn Maharage was placed into retirement after nearly 43 years in the ministry. 

It was a wonderful experience where the congregations of Malmesbury West, Malmesbury Central and Abbotsdale came together at the Lord’s altar to hear the blessed word. 

Three retired Apostles, Walter Diedericks, John Stephens and Peter Thompson was also in attendance.

Bishop Gerhard Kotze was appointed as the new District Rector of the Malmesbury District.
