After much preparation, anticipation and excitement, Kleinvlei congregation could on Sunday, 2 July 2023 experience the visit of Apostle Neville Williams to their congregation on the special celebration of the divine service for the departed.
This was his first visit to the Blue Downs District after his recent ordination into the Apostle ministry by Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider.
The Apostle was accompanied by Shepherd Leonard Wilson and all the Rectors of the Blue Downs District.
For this special divine service, the Apostle used the Bible word Romans 10:13, "For whoever calls on
the name of the Lord shall be saved”.
During the sermon, the Apostle reminded the congregation that regardless of our circumstances, challenges and difficulties caused by the power and influence of the evil one, when we call upon the name of the Lord and trust in Him, we shall be saved. This applies to the visible and the invisible congregation alike. The Apostle called the District Rector and the Rector, Priest Arnold du Preez, to serve along.
After the closing prayer, the choir concluded the divine service with their musical item “Almighty
God, how wondrous is Thy work”.
The Apostle also took time to greet the congregants and availed himself for some pictures with the Sunday School children, Young People, choir and ministers.
Thereafter, the Apostle met with all the Rectors of Blue Downs District and also had some
fellowship with them.
