On Sunday 18 June 2023, the Young People of Rocklands district ended their #16Days4Youth in the best way possible - with Christ. The entire district gathered for a Young People divine service which brought about much excitement and joy.
Community Evangelist Mark Willis conducted the divine service and shared a Bible word out of Deuteronomy 5:3, ‘The Lord did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, those who are here today, all of us who are alive.’
Priest W Samaai was called to serve along.
The orchestra created a joyful noise with their instruments and were later joined by the choir, where hearts were warmed through song and praise.
A special moment of silence was also observed in preparation for the celebration of Holy Communion.
In closing, the anthem remains the motto by which the young people stand by, ‘Young People in Christ’.
After the divine service, the winners of the Winter Olympics were awarded their trophy and announcements of upcoming activities were given. The young people were then asked to look underneath their seats for one yellow flower - the person who found the flower was granted a fully paid trip for the upcoming mission trip to Worcester.
The Young People look forward to future events with one another and continue to wait on the return of our Saviour and Redeemer.
