On 1 June 2023, the young people of Rocklands District launched #16Days4Youth. 

For the next 16 days, various activities will be taking place leading up to Youth Day for the young people to come together and strengthen their faith through fellowship with each other and Christ.

The introduction meeting took place at Westgate Congregation where the Young People and ministers were welcomed with a warm cup of soup and baked bread.

Sister Micayle Fennell hosted the meeting and shared an attribute from the life of David and how courageous and strong he was in battle, always trusting in God for protection. 

The young people were reminded to use whatever strength and fight they have in them to push through life's battles and hardships. 

They were also encouraged to "recharge" themselves by attending divine services, praying, serving and partaking in fellowship. A further emphasis was made on taking on the armour of God to protect ourselves from the evil one. 

The young people then participated in a war cry, chanting, "If GOD is for me, WHO can be against me?" What a powerful and motivating statement! The meeting ended with an update on activities, where a clear breakdown was shared on activities for the next 16 days. 

The final song, In Him we live and move, left the young people excited for the upcoming days.
