Thanks to the Sunday School Knitting project, seniors of the Narraville congregation will be warm when they attend services.
Earlier this year, on 12 April, the Sunday School children embarked on a project whereby they were provided with knitting needles and wool. Each child had to knit squares of 40 stitches in length, which were later sewed together into blankets or 'lappieskomberse.'
The beautifully knitted blankets, hand-made with love, will remain at church and can be used by the seniors to keep their legs warm during the services, especially during the cold coastal winters. This is an expression of love from the juniors in the congregation to the seniors as the Bible teaches us in John 4:37.
The project, which ended in June, was coordinated by Sister Sonia Norris.
