On 6 May 2023, District Apostle J Kriel conducted a divine service in Walvis Bay congregation.
The Bible word for the divine service was taken from Ezekiel 36:27, “I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes and you will keep My judgements and do them.” (NKJV)
The District Apostle explained to the congregation that we must use the gift of the Holy Spirit and allow it to influence our heart’s attitudes and the way we see things. In a heart of stone, we only see the faults of others, but when we use the gift of the spirit, it will influence the way we see things, the way we talk; our deeds and our actions.
The District Apostle then called upon the Apostle P Liwakala and Priest S Norris to serve the congregation further.
For the last time before his retirement in December 2023, District Apostle J Kriel visited a delighted Windhoek congregation on Sunday, 7 May 2023. With invited congregations from as far as Gobabis and Rehoboth, they gathered in the Pionierspark DRC church building.
The Bible word for the divine service was taken from Genesis 50:19-20, referring to Joseph’s power and humility. Priest James Damon, Rector of Windhoek Congregation, and Apostle Patrick Liwakala, were called upon to serve.
At the conclusion of the divine service, congregants were delighted to be granted the opportunity to greet the District Apostle. He was also sent off with a song by joyous members.
