Being a missionary

On Sunday 30 April 2023, District Apostle J Kriel conducted a divine service for the entire Vaal District.

The divine service took place at the Quest Conference Estate in Vanderbijlpark. The District Apostle was accompanied by Apostle S Mogane and the District Rectors from the Apostle area.

The Bible word used as basis for the divine service was taken from Matthew 28:18-20, ‘And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.’

We wait for the coming of the Lord. This waiting must not be a burden, but a joy. We must not be waiting to get out of our burdens, but we wait because we love Him, and we know that He loves us.

The District Apostle reminded the congregation that we have just come through Easter, and we need to keep this memory relevant, regarding the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.

After Christ’s resurrection, He reminded His Apostles that He had told them of His imminent death and resurrection.

The commission they received from Jesus was to go and make disciples of all nations.  As disciples of Christ, we too cannot keep the gospel to ourselves. We need to go out and share this message with others.

Apostle S Mogane was also called upon to serve.

After the divine service, the congregation was invited to join in fellowship.
