An encounter with the Lord comes with blessings

The second stop of the District Apostle Kriel’s visit to Mpumalanga East Apostle Area, took him to Daantjie Congregation, where he conducted a divine service for the congregations of Pienaar District.

On this occasion, he was accompanied by the Apostle Mabaso, Bishops Milazi and Ndubane, and some local ministers.

As a basis for the sermon, the District Apostle used 1 Timothy 1:15, “This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.” (NKJV)

In his introductory serving of the Bible word, the District Apostle mentioned that Saul was very hostile towards the Christian community before his conversion. He rejected the teachings of Jesus and thus did everything in his might to destroy and oppose its spreading. He persecuted and terrorized the followers of Christ. That was until his dramatic encounter with Christ, on his way to Damascus which transformed him from a persecutor of Christians into a fighter for the very same gospel he sought to destroy. The District Apostle encouraged the members to avail themselves whenever the Lord calls, because His call presents an encounter that comes with the benefit of blessings.

The District Apostle also encouraged all to make full use of each encounter with the Lord by

  • allowing Jesus to change them so they can take stock of their sinful ways and repent
  • turning our lives around like Paul did and profess the gospel and our belief in Christ who is the source of our salvation.

Bishop Milazi was called upon to serve.

As soon as the District Apostle was done bidding his farewell, the congregation burst into a song that reverberated in the church hall, long after the conclusion of the divine service.
