On Sunday 23 April 2023, a vibrant and joyful congregation awaited the arrival of District Apostle J Kriel in White River for the divine service for Legogote District.

The District Apostle was accompanied by Apostle Mabaso, Bishops Milazi and Ndubane, and several District Rectors from the area.

As a basis for the divine service the District Apostle used Matthew 28:18, “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.’”

The District Apostle explained that the people and some of His disciples sometimes doubted that Christ was the Saviour God had promised. After His resurrection, He had to remind them that He had all authority in heaven and on earth. Through His authority, He established His Church. He also has the authority to forgive sins. Through His authority, He wants to give us eternal life and that is God’s will.

During the serving of Holy Communion for the departed, the District Apostle also reminded the congregation that Christ also has authority over the unseen world. He uses that authority so that those who have gone before us can also share in the sacraments.

The Apostle Mabaso was called upon to serve.
