The love of Christ is beyond all understanding. 

That was the fundamental message of the divine service conducted by District Apostle J Kriel on Good Friday, 07 April 2023 in Malungeni congregation in Mthatha District, Eastern Cape.

The District Apostle was accompanied by Apostle T Nene, District Elder R Ndongeni and other local ministers.

The Bible word used as basis for the divine service was taken from 2 Corinthians 5:14-15, “For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.”

The District Apostle elaborated on the word and encouraged the congregation to remain in the love of God, and to be mindful that Jesus died for us so that we can live eternally with Him.

It was a festive divine service with beautiful music filling the hall. It was also momentous as it was the first time that the newly published isiXhosa hymnal was used in a divine service. 

A happy and joyful congregation parted ways after blessed moments spent in God’s house.
