The new isiXhosa hymnal was launched during a festive concert held in Mdantsane Congregation on Saturday, 08 April 2023.
This special and momentous occasion was officiated by District Apostle J Kriel.
The programme was an Easter celebration of isiXhosa hymns which had the audience tapping their feet with excitement. They exclaimed their enjoyment with applause and loud traditional expressions.
The beautiful musical renditions of the choir, soloists, orchestra, recorders, organists and pianists were truly enjoyed and appreciated by the audience present.
It is the first isiXhosa hymnal with full notation, enhancing the excitement of future musical development and prospects.
The District Apostle remarked that he was transported far away from home during the concert…a place between heaven and earth, as he could not fully put his happiness and pride into words. He supported the statement made by the programme director that he is proud to be New Apostolic and to be part of this beautiful project and developments, along with the music department.
The District Apostle sincerely thanked all the role players and the performers who came from near and far to make the occasion such a festive and joyous success.
