The passion of Christ is a source of hope, courage and joy. This was the kernel message of a divine service conducted by District Apostle J Kriel in Bonteheuwel Central on Wednesday, 22 March 2023.
Hebrews 12:2 served as the basis for the divine service, “[L]ooking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” The District Apostle encouraged the congregation to look to Jesus in all circumstances of life.
The Community Evangelist N Williams, District Rector of Athlone District, was called to serve along.
After the divine service, the District Apostle wished the members a blessed Easter. To the delight of many, he also announced that he would be available to greet those who had time.
