On Thursday 16 February 2023, Apostle G Mintoor served the congregation of Somerset East. The area was informed beforehand that a new Somerset East district would be established.

The divine service was based on the Bible word from Micah 7:7, "Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me." 

During the divine service, the Apostle thanked District Elder Chris De Jager for his labours and appointed District Evangelist Eugene Felkers as District Rector for the new area.

After the divine service, the Apostle and Bishop Flores also congratulated the brothers who had completed their homiletics training.
